How To Deactivate Your Facebook Account Temporary
There are two different ways to get your Facebook account offline. The first is deactivate temporary and the second is Delete your Facebook account permanently.
To deactivate your account:
- Click on the down arrow in the upper-right corner of Facebook and click on Settings.
- Then click "Your Facebook Information" in the left column.
- Click "Deactivation and Deletion".
- Choose "Deactivate Account", then click "Continue to Account Deactivation".
- Then Facebook will ask that you enter your password. Once entered, Facebook will prompt you to give a reason for leaving before you confirm the temporary deactivation.
To reactivate your account after deactivating it, simply logging back into Facebook.
What will be after deactivating your facebook account:
- People can’t see your Facebook Timeline, or search for you.
- Some information may remain visible (like messages you’ve sent).
- You can still chat with friends on Messenger.
- Your friends may still see your name in their friends' list. This is only visible to your friends, and only from their friends list.
- Group admins may still be able to see your posts and comments, along with your name.
